Our main aim during Summer Camp at "La Granja" is that children have a good time: having fun and making new friends surrounded by nature, farm animals and horses, with the practice and study of another language.

There will  be a 1 hour English class every day. Activities are conducted in English and Catalan, depending on the age and according to knowledge of the language. Classes will be very dynamic and increasing vocabulary will be the objective of the  activities proposed.

Another important objective for this summer is to work on the emotional awareness and self-regulation of the children, to help them improve their self-esteem and achieve more positive communication with their group mates.

The changing values in our society, whose effect we observe during our daily work with children, is a motivation to continue our task in the field of emotional education. For this reason, all "our children" age 8 and over perform a group test in order to evaluate their emotional awareness, self-regulation and capacity to work as a team. During the last week of Camp the test is repeated to check whether the values in these areas of interest have increased, and thus evaluate our work for the benefit of parents and improvement of our own task.

HOW WE OPERATE

Every morning the children will be picked up by bus (supervision by a camp leader) and returned in the afternoon (Monday to Friday).

At “La Granja” we will have English classes and many other fun activities, lunch (our own homemade cooking) and afternoon snack.

ACTIVITIES

There are a great variety of planned activities. For children between 7 and 9 years of age every week will be a great adventure based on different themes (pirates, Harry Potter, farmers, survivors, cooks, etc..), including activities to help increase vocabulary such as adventure routes, handcrafts, farm animals, walks in the forest and theatre. The fact that our children spend most of the time skipping and running outdoors in direct touch with nature, is our secret to help them feel happy, healthy and free.

Activities scheduled for older children will be of greater intensity and may include adventure sports, more classical type sports, olympics and a great deal of emotional education whilst having fun! These children will also attend MASTER CLASSES in order to cover important aspects of their education that are not usually considered (speaking in public, the lies in advertising, what to do in case of a fire at home if you are alone, art therapy, cooking? etc..)

Apart from these activities, every day will include SWIMMING (3 to 5-year-olds depending on weather conditions), one hour of SCHOOL HOMEWORK and RIDING LESSONS,  as well as other tasks and duties related to horses (cleaning the horses and stables, theory and knowledge of horses etc..). Horses are our great educational and therapeutical tool to obtain tender looks, hugs and smiles from children of all ages. Horses and children are inevitably attracted to each other!!

DATES AND PRICES 2012

5 weeks: 25th June to 27th July: 790 € (bus not included 728€)

		Transportation by bus, escorted by a camp leader Monday to Friday.
		Lunch and afternoon snack every day (homemade cooking).

		Initial and final report of every child. Emotional education test for  children over 8.
		Assigned space for each child to place his/her belongings (homework, towel, book, etc...).
		End of Summer Festival on 29th July at 5 pm, with the participation of parents, family and friends.

1st- For reservations please phone (93 848 22 77). With the RESERVATION NUMBER you may  access and fill in the registration form (below). During the process please follow instructions.

2nd- Fill in, sign and send the original registration form by mail, together with the 100€ deposit (you have 15 days)

3rd- Remaining payment should be made before June 15th 2012 in our offices.
