SUMMER CAMP IN ENGLISH WITH HORSEBACK RIDING

for 6 to 14-year-olds

Five years ago we began to train our camp leaders in the field of  EMOTIONAL EDUCATION and the results have been spectacular. As a result of our experience working with groups of school children, we have developed camp activities with the objective of  learning, relating to others and having fun, as well as emphasizing the importance of Individual development at a very personal level.

We believe that Camps for children are an important part of their education. In this context they will experience sensations that can only take place outside the home or classroom. If they learn to identify their emotions (anger, sadness, joy,...), and given the necessary tools, children will learn to deal with them correctly and improve their self-esteem, self-confidence and relation to others. Usually, this helps them in the growth process to become more independent and learn to decide on their own.

 Every summer for the past twenty years we have shared our experiences with children from different parts of Spain such as the Basque country, Zaragoza, Madrid , as well as other parts of Catalonia.

Activities (in groups of approx 15.) will be suited to the age and  interests of each group. Our objective is that they practice English also during workshops and other activities, as well as 2 hours of daily class in the morning. Children will have 24h supervision by educators, tutors and Susana (camp director). La Granja offers a friendly atmosphere, and therefore, very close and personal attention.

ACTIVITIES

  English classes:

Apart from daily English class, English will also be used during the rest of the day in the different activities; since they are fun, they are also perfect for learning vocabulary: workshops with farm animals, the vegetable garden, theatre, baking, sports and adventure activities (wall-climbing, suspension bridge, obstacle adventure tracks,..). There is also a daily swim in the pool before lunch, supervised by a lifeguard, the teachers and Susana.

Each of them is in charge of approx. 15 boys and girls, according to age groups. During the children's stay they will try to motivate and control their group, working on group cohesion, focusing on aspects such as emotional awareness and adjustment, self-esteem and empathy, with the aid of the activities suggested, as well as improving their english. Activities are designed to be super fun and exciting, so they can share the joy of learning.  During the evening, the night supervisor will make sure everything is in order and that children get a proper night's rest. We also have specialists such as riding instructors and a lifeguard.

DATES AND PRICES FOR 2012 limited num. seats  June 24th to June 30th ....435€  (from Sunday 17.30 am to Saturday 12 am) July 8rd to July 14th ........ 470€ (from Sunday 11 am to Saturday 12 am) July 8th to July 21th .........840€ (from Sunday 10.30 am to Saturday 12 am)      July 22th to July 27th ......410€ (from Sunday 11,30h to Friday 7.30 pm) THE PRICE INCLUDES Full board (Sunday to Saturday) English classes and activities conducted by trained professors  Riding lessons 24 hour a day tutor supervision (for issues in relation to adaptation, medication, special diets, allergies,..) Qualified  and experienced lifeguard Bed sheets (sleeping bag is not required) The price does NOT INCLUDE transportation and laundry service  REGISTRATION AND RULES 1st- For reservations please phone (93 848 23 28), and you will be given a RESERVATION NUMBER with which you may access and fill in the registration form (below).
